Class Descriptions

  • A slow paced, deeply healing style emphasising principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine to promote the flow of Qi (energy). Yin yoga works on the yin tissues - also known as the connective tissues.

Connective tissue responds best to a slow, steady load, which is why we hold the poses for longer in yin, targeting the myofascial meridians in the body with view of balancing the internal organs and body systems. (Suitable for all levels).

  • You’re embarking on a remarkable journey. What a time to explore your ever-changing body. This class is primarily focused to support the maternal bond and communication with your growing bub through breath.

We work through yoga as a means of preparation for body and mind at whatever stage of pregnancy for delivery and beyond, exploring asana and modifications tailored to your body, visualisations and meditation to explore waves of sensations, building inner strength and reaching stillness - one of our absolute faves!

We make use of props to support you in this class, influenced through yin great for runners and if you're recovering from injury we can tailor class to you. Go on…. ZEN YOURSELF! (Suitable for all levels, a must do for all nervous systems)

Through practice with Alanna I have learned to be more present at classes more mindful and more appreciative of what your body can do when you take care of it. She is an amazing teacher”
