Meet Alanna

Founder of YO-T, Director and Senior Therapist

Alanna completed her OT studies in 2008 and entered a clinical rotation program via Barwon Health offering exposure across acute, rehabilitation and community settings. Her experience is widespread across many chronic conditions and the disability sector with her predominant OT experience and interest in Neurology, cognitive changes and mental health. 

She has experience of OT healthcare from Victoria to the Northern Territory with her clinical skills extending into research opportunities   

From her time as a student to the present, she has maintained a strong interest in the brain and nervous system and impact on health and this was further deepened by exploration into integrative health, mind and body connection and the application of yoga to her practice skillset. 

She has undertaken many yoga trainings including as a registered prenatal and post natal yoga teacher as well as additional skill development in chronic pain and psychology, neuro-immune system connection and craniosacral therapy to complement her OT offerings and primary purpose of supporting individuals for better health and life satisfaction outcomes. 

In 2014 she merged her passions for Occupational Therapy and yoga as a progressive amalgamation to advance her services in health promotion and recovery and believes this blend is a significant support to people of all ages. 

Alanna's comprehensive approach is inclusive of both extrinsic and intrinsic interventions to promote health and function and support individuals to connect with their daily life, creativity, relationships and the world around them. 


Steph is an Occupational Therapist who graduated from Deakin University in 2018. She has five years experience working in the disability sector as an Occupational therapist and has a passion for empowering others to achieve their goals. She believes everyone deserves the opportunity to learn and live a fulfilling life.  

Steph supports people to increase their independence through mindfulness, social skills and emotional regulation and routine building. 

Steph has completed additional training in applying Polyvagal theory for Nervous system regulation integrating this into her work with clients. She is certified in the safe and sound protocol and enjoys working with individuals to identify and understand how their nervous system is responding to their different environments and how this may be affecting their everyday life. 

Away from work, Steph enjoys spending time with family and friends, getting out in nature and going for walks with her dog. 

Meet Steph


Meet Tracy

Tracy is an Occupational Therapist and qualified yoga and pilates teacher, as well as a Mum of four kids, high school and primary school aged. Her OT experience extends across a range of areas including: mental health, community, aged care, neurology and ABI and case management roles.

Her predominant interest lies with neurology and mental health, and the mind-body connection in physical health/conditions. Tracy has further developed her skill set in the mind-body practices of yoga and pilates. With experience of large-scale mat classes to individual tailored programs, Tracy is sound in adapted chair yoga and modified yoga offerings.

Having had a personal experience with injury and the impact of injury and illness on both physical and mental levels, Tracy has a good first-hand understanding of the functional challenges that can present for those with health conditions and believes in the power of listening, collaborative realistic goal-setting and working towards improving quality of life in her approach.


Meet Sabrina

Sabrina is an Occupational Therapist, graduating from Deakin University in 2023. Sabrina has grown a passion to specialise in the mental health sector. She has acquired two years experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant working via YO-T with those in the disability sector on capacity building to achieve their personalised goals. Sabrina believes that’s everyone’s unique individuality should be celebrated and expressed throughout each interaction. In addition, Sabrina has worked as a yoga facilitator since December 2022 and is passionate about integration of yoga, occupational therapy and mental health for wellbeing and recovery.

Sabrina draws upon her life experience, with a history of working 14 years as a Beauty Therapist and travelling and living abroad for work in international 5 star spa venues before embarking on her Occupational Therapy studies.

Sabrina loves being outside and around nature as well as connecting with family and friends.


Meet Sara

Sara completed her Masters in Occupational Therapy in 2014, and is an experienced Occupational Therapist and Mental Health Clinician. Sara has worked in a diverse range of settings across Victoria public mental health services, including crisis response; community outreach; inpatient and community rehabilitation. Sara has additional experience in clinical education, health promotion and community development. This interest developed after spending 12 months as an international volunteer OT, gaining valuable cross cultural perspectives on social and emotional wellbeing that continues to enrich her work. Sara enjoys supporting individuals living with complex trauma-related challenges; emotional regulation and interpersonal relationship difficulties. She has completed further training and qualifications in various therapeutic modalities including art therapy, sensory modulation, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Sara is passionate about weaving these therapeutic modalities together with meaningful occupational engagement, to support individuals achieve sustainable positive outcomes.
